One of my closest friends and I met in high school during our summer job working at a local movie theater. We laugh to this day thinking back on the specific details of how our friendship started. Let’s just say we bonded over boys and our feelings towards our “evil parents” (who we hate to admit were right in the end about almost everything!) That was about 15 years ago now and we are still “besties” ;P
I am fortunate to have some wonderful friendships in my life – ladies who have been there with me through thick and thin. Women who have encouraged me, challenged me, cried with me, and loved me despite my flaws. I am forever grateful.
The latest venture in my life has brought me back to working beside the girlfriend I spoke of above, but this time instead of scooping popcorn, we stand beside each other and behind our cameras.
Last month we had the opportunity to photograph these two best friends, Brittney and Allora. Give me a grassy field, a vintage chair, and some golden light any day of the week! In the middle of a busy season, it was energizing to take these two out for a fun playful photo session! Donning flower crowns and white summer dresses we turned on the JBL so Taylor Swift could fill the air and flipped through Pinterest boards for fun ideas. My cousin Brittney even took on the role of our DP for a few of Allora’s photos! We had such blast and can’t wait to take them out for some winter photos later this year 🙂
Thanks ladies for being wonderful models!
