This is my FAVORITE thing to nosh on during all phases of clean eating – obviously you can get creative with the fruit selection, but I pretty much keep everything the same except the blueberries.
My Favorite Smoothie –
1 Cup Almond Milk
3/4 Cup Frozen Blueberrys
1 Med. Banana – frozen will make a great substitute to ice!
1 heaping Tbsp of Fresh Almond Butter
1 Tbsp of Flax Meal or Ground Flax Seeds (optional)
2 tsp of grade B Maple Syrup
Cinnamon – sprinkle a bit
Put all ingredients into your blender, blend it up then drink it up!
I peel and freeze a bunch of bananas and then I don’t need to use ice – I hate when smoothies are watered down. I use the above as a basis for all the smoothies I make during the cleanse. I make one every morning for breakfast during all phases.
Note on the cinnamon: it’s a MUST for every smoothie!! I know it sounds funny but it is sooooo delicious. You’ll never make another smoothie without it!
